The patrons heartily applauded this effort. "Fun at the Seaside" was another scene of co.ourful animation, and the squad of bathing girls made a bright picture. 'They performed a song and dance accompaniment to a solo oy Mr Roberts, "Isn't it Nice to be so Popular?" and in other ways sustained the charm cf the scene. Another scene of outstanding merit was "Winter Time," in which some , very skilful demonstrations -vein given of ; tho difficult Russian dancing The members of the company taking part in the scene also , engaged in a snowballing encounter with :he 1 patrons in the stalls. The eleven acrobatic children also came on in the rcene and <jr.ve another exhibition of their '■lever work. 1 The hand-spriniriTijT and somersaulting of some of the yourgstevs were performed with a surprising rapidity, and the whole per- I formance of the juvenile troupe was carried . tfrowli at top speed Prolonged applause I followed their turn. "After the Storm" was ; another scene of very fine e'aboration. Sitting on a log o;i *he O.P edge of the proscenium were three muffled up travellers, who sang together while the weither cleared, and on the stage storm dancers and fire dancers tripped around in illustration of the battle of the elements. Tho tire dancers carried torches which when waved flared up with an intense incandescence. Fina'ly Sunshine. (Miss Arline Patersonl appeared -ind introduced the calm with a verv pretty d'iice. Some good comedy sketches were also included in the programme, one representing an encounter between a burglar and a 'ady in the bath, which had a surprising denouement. Another, entitled "The Reflection," contained the novel idfn of a mirror reflection being provided bv a second figure posinir as reouired on the other eido of a big emptv frame. The company contain some really good solo voices, and these were heard 'n various numbers. Mr Albert and ihe orchestra rlav*d a lengthy programme of mueic and ""sisted the company in other ways. the same rpviio will be rppeat«d.
