WEDDINGS. MUSOHAMP-ROBERTSON. St. Paul's Presbyterian Church was the scene of a very pretty wedding on Wednesday afternoon when Ellen Margaret, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs, John Robertson, of Shirley, was married to Osbert, second son of Mr and Mrs H. Muschamp. of Linwood. The Rev. Mr Bower Black performed the ceremonv and Mr Raynor "White presided at the organ. The church was tastefully decorated by friends of the bride. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a charming frock of ivorv georgette with a guipure lace, skirt and beaded panels. The V-shaped front of guipure lace was caught at the waist with a bow of georgette, and the long bishop sleeves were gathered into a narrow band at the wrkt. Her beautiful tulle veil was hold in place by a bandeau of orange blossom and she carried a bouquet of white hothouse flowers and fern. The bridesmaid. Miss Lyndall Robertson, sister of the bride, wore a dainty frock of pink taffeta with a low waist, the skirt being Detailed at the sides. A becoming hat to match and a .diowcr bouquet of pink roses and ferns completed the toilette. The second bridesmaid, Miss Grace Muschamp, wore a charming frock of blue French crepe do chine, the skirt being trimmed with pastel-shaded tinsel. She wore a hat to match and carried a shower bouquet of blue hydrangeas and ferns. Mr Oyrjl Muschamp, brother of t«te bridegroom, and. Mr Leonard Robertson, brother of the bride, attended as best man and groomsman respectively. The guests were later received by the hride's parents at their residence, Marshland road, where the reception was held in a marquee which had been erected on the lawn. The bride/•; mother wore a smart frock of black silk tourraine with black bat to match and fur coat, and carried a bouquet of flame-coloured flowers. The bridegroom's mother wore a smart frock of black souple satin and hat to match and a marabout stole. Her bouquet was of mauve flowers. The tables were daintily decorated with streamers to mateh the colour of the bridesmaids' frocks. Later Mr and Mrs Muschamp left for their wedding tour, the bride wearing a frock of hois du rose crepe de chine and hat to tone. She also wore a smart coat of navy blue repp clotlr and red fox fur. An evening party was held in honour of the occasion, games and dancing being enjoyed. Mr Byrnes and his jaaz orchestra, friends of the best man, supplied the music. x NORTH BEACH BIRTHDAY PARTY. Mr and Mrs McGillivray were the host and hostess at a party held in the North Beach Gymnasium in honour of the birthday of their son, Murray. Mrs Ross-Smith was pianist and a very, pleasant evening was spent in games and dancing. A Monte Oarlo dance was won by Mrs and Mr W. Smith Among those' present were. Mesdames McGillivray, W. COLLEGE DANCE. A highly successful dance in .aid of the tournament funds was held by the Canterbury College Law Students' Association at the College Hall on Saturday night.
