Marks and Co., of Chancery street had this morning that at some time during the week-end burglars had paid a surreptitious visit « helped to confirm the opinion that -the office had been, thoroughly overhauled, the "loot" being £5 in cash from the manager's desk, a. bottle of Moet and Chaudou's ancient vintage, and some mixed biscuits that the staff fpecM to have for -momma tea. The burglars made a thorough search of all d™ers and pigeon holes. Apparently the visitors were in search of cash, and the champagne and the biscuits were merelv a happy discovery.
