Ferrets have raided several residents fowlruns of Jato, but fortunately, only small mortalities are reported, while on two ocasions within the past few days the culprits have been caught. Wednesday was another rainy, sunless day, light showers of rain falling at intervals. Towards nightfall there was a heavy downpour, 26 points being recorded yesterday morning, with a minimum temperature of 43 deg. HINDS. Mr R. C. Maidens presided over a satisfactory attendance at the annual meeting of the Hinds Athletic Club. He congratulated the club on the successful year, and thanked all those who had helped him. . He wished the club continued success. The balancesheet showed receipts £l9O and a credit balance of £l2. It was decided to hold the sports oft April 23rd in Hinds Domain. Mr It. C. Maidens was elected president, and a strong committee was elected.
