RANGIORA HORSE FAIR. About 80 horses were entered at the monthly fair nt Rangiora yesterday. The demand was good, consequently few animals failed to change hands. Best five to seven-year-old draughts brought from £3B to £42, seven to ten-year-old draughts £l6 to £25, aged draughts £5 to £l2, and hacks £2 to £5. LINSEED. The Department of Agriculture has received the following cablegram, dated August 2nd, from Calcutta, with regard to the linaeed market: —"Linseed: Wo quoto £IC 17a 6d for linseed per ton net, C. and F. The Nct Zealand Loan nml Mercantile Agency has meived the following tabled advice from London:—Dairy Produce—For New Zealand butter and cheese, quotations are unchanged. The market is very slow. Dalgety ami Co. have received :hc following cabled advico from London Butter—The market is alow. There arc second-hand sellers of New Zealand finest at 160 ato 1645. We quote Danish 1665. The New Zealand Dairy Board minimum prico , for finest is 168s, first grade lG6s, finest Australian unsalted 162s to ICGs, salted-156a to 160s. Cheese—The market for New Zealand ia dull and Canadian is quiet. We quote New Zealand Dairy Board minimum prices:—Finest whito 925, finest coloured 925, first-grade whito 91s, firstgrade coloured 91s, Canadian spot white 90s to 100s, coloured 90s to 100s, c.i.f. 80s. TALLOW. The X»w Zealand Loan and Mercantile Company liaa received tho following cabled advice from London: —Tallow—We quite prosent c.i.f. and e. values for the following descriptions of tallow:— Fine mutton 37s per cwt, good beef SSa per cwt, rnixcJ 35s Cd per cwt.
