"If a young man offers you a cocktail never go out with him again," Dr. Ingram, Bishop of London, advised a rathering of schoolgirls at Actou, England, several months ago. Regarding cocktails, the Bishon said there was nothing worse for ruining a girl's constitution. Ho the girls to keep their minds active. A wife, he said should be a companion to her husband, not only in tne homo, but also in thoughl. His own mother, who had died two years ago at the age of ninety years, had been as active in her mind as a schoolgirl right up to the time of her death. The girls should endeavour to keep their hearts young and their sympathies quick, for people who lost touch with human life became old at foriy. Finally, Dr. Ingram advised the girls to keep their souls in touch with their living God, who was always young, and eould pour life into thfem. One way in which they could keep in touch with God. was to be regular in their prayers. The old saying about those whom the Gods love dying ydung did not mean young in years, but rather young in heart.
