"TRADE GETTING DECADENT." [THE PEBBB Sptciil SerriM.] AUCKLAND, February U. The annual conference of the Federation of New Zealand Master Plumbers opened this morning, when delegates were in attendance from all parts of the Dominion;' Mr X. A. Kyle, president of the Auckland Master Plumbers' Association, and president of the Federated Master Plumbers of New Zealand, presided. ' "I cannot let the opportunity pass without expressing my regret that our trade seems to be gradually getting into a more decadent state," said the president. "There aro very few opportunities for men of ability to build up business owing to the ease in which competition is created by men with only a kit of tools, once they are registered, being allowed to take out permits to do work. I trust that the incoming president, being resident in Wellington, and the executive, will be able to combat ..this grave menace to our trade."
