PLUMBERS' AND TINSMITHS' PICNIC.
The plumbers and tinsmiths held their annual plcnic'at Pearsou'a Park, Oxford. The weather was. perfect, and a most enjoyable outing was spentr Toys, , lollies, and soft drinks were distributed among tho children.. After a lengthy sports programme was. run off, Mr J. "WV Parnell presented the prises to .the successful competitors. The results were as follows:—Apprentices' race, Ist, 2nd, and 3rd year—J. Hurry 1, E. Ballley 2, K. Oak.ley 3. Apprentices' race, 4th, sth, and Oth year—R. Bard 1, R. Newman 2, A. Shepherd and B Carponter (tied) 8. Journeymen's race—T. O'Grady 1, Rexworthy 2, D. Colville .1. Married ladies' lottery—Mrs Ellison 1, Mrs Jeffery 2, Mrs Cade 0, Mrs Hunt 4. Single ladles' race—Miss Watts 1, Miss Hall 2, Miss Matherson 3. Warehousemen's race —S. Oakley 1, M. Calvert 2, J.Baridel 3. Single men's racer-M. Tdllet 1, W. Evans 2, Martin Tulley 5. Employers' race—Mr Kardingham 1, Mr Danks 2, Mr Taworth 3. ladies' sack race—Mrs,Smith 1, Miss Hall 2.
