RAILWAY GOODS SHEDS.
distribution of sacks. The record shipment of 10,000 cornsacks, brought to'Lyttclton in the Waihora nearly three weeks ago, has been distributed from the Wultham railway yards. It was an immense job, and a great deal of sorting was necessary, consignments being dispatched to all parts of Canterbury. Things arc normal again at the goods sheds and the whole of the Remuera's cargo, which was held rap so long, has bet* distributed. It is now clear that the late arrival of documents was the main factor in the delay, and the shipping agent?, who were responsible for the striking of an average loss because of the fire on the vessel, arc absolved from the blame. Three thousand cases of bananas from the Waipahl arrived at the sheds on Saturday afternoon, and the distribution was completed yesterday morning. As an illustration of how the storage at the sheds is unduly encroached on, 50 tons of flour airrived from Australia fully two months ago. At first there was a delay, aa samples -had to be sent to Wellington in order to satisfy the Health Authorities. After that, other troubles arose, and not unt " yesterday was it possible to send the flour from'the sheds. It has been sent into a bond store.
