"PARTNERS AGAIN."
AN UNLIMITED COMPANY OF LAUGHTER. Potash and rcrlmutter, names thai j-avour more of tho humorous imagination of nn author than tho approved canons of the Hebrew, aro once again partners in what the loquacious and fertile auctioneer would call a going concern, the concern of comedy. Always a good paying proposition, theso two astuto sons of Israel havo set their hands to making tho public laugh, and through the potent medium of tho universal cinema, will appear at the Liberty Theatro next week in "Partners Again," a gleeful «jnd ingenious comedy-drama with George Sidnoy and Alexander Carr the heads of one of the most astonishing firms in tho commercial world. In this vastly amusing number of the famous scries, tho squabbling partners aro interested in motor-cars, always o certain source of incomo in the laud of tho almighty dollar, Bnd, with their eyes on the said dollar, Potash nnd Porlmuttcr do not disdain to employ certain sparo parls of a particularly celebrated and mctalically-toncd brand of American car, to tho enormous disgust of many patrons. Every action of the famooM pair, every passago of arras, every piece of witty badinage, bring their quota of mirth, which in most cases amounts to unadorned guffaws. Tho humour of the diction is immense, tho broad and refreshing comedy of the action and the frankness and heartiness of the burlesquo all tend to make "Parlncrs Again" a comedy of obviously superior dimensions. Jewish humour possesses a flavour all its own; it is a little simple, a littlo callow if wo aro to believo Samuel Goldwyn, tho producer, and Montagu Glass, tho author, and there is really no reason why one should not beliovo Samuel Goldwyn; his name has a good, round ring to it, and bo ought to kni>w. It would appear that thero are but two actors in all filmdom capable of portraying tho varying emotions and moods of Abo and Mawruss, and they aro George Sidney nnd Alexander Carr. They gesticulato wildly; they argue fiercely and illogically; they quarrel indiscriminately, whether they bo in the safe confines of their offico or soaring in tho heavens in an aeroplane. It is all tho eamo to them; they must argue, and, after all, to argue successfully, ono must uso one's bands; nnd aeroplanes are* refractory things if not attended to. Such bagatelles, however, trouble not our heroes, and so wo havo a roaring comedy, spiced with romance, an abundance of thrills, and souiu of tho finest character acting seen in many a day. The two leading artists aro magnificent, nnd tho portly presenco of Kosie, wifo of Potash, accentuates the comedy of tho piece. Allan Forrest and Betty Jewel play important supporting roles, supplying tho human Interest in pleasing fashion. The box plans open at The Bristol Piano Company to-day. where seats may be reserved.
