MUNICIPAL ROLL.
ELECTORS' APPLICATIONS. Alter Monday, electors wishing to vote at the municipal elections in April will be obliged to have their names placed on the supplementary 1011, as the main roll closes on January 31st. After that date it will be open for inspection for a, week. Those entitled l~ ;-?te are as fol(1)' All ratepayers; (2) all freeholders • (3) all tenants or sub-tenants paying' not less than £lO per annum; and (4) evervone who is "a British subject, has resided in New Zealand for one year, and in the City of CHhstchurch for three months past." That means that all persons over 21 years of age having the above qualifications may enrol. , Some women assume that because their husband's name is on the roll they .:an vote under his name. That is an error. The husband's full name and his wife's must both go on the roll separately. For convenience the husband can" secure a simple form to place his wife's name on the roll.
