"NO INFORMATION."
PROGRESS LEAGUE CRITICISED,
Unless the Building , and Allied Trades Association rejects the recommendation of its executive at its next meeting, the organisation will cease its affiliation with the Canterbury Pro- j gresa League as from March 31st. A paragraph in the Association'e annual report, adopted at its annual meeting last evening, read as follows: "We have continued our contribution to the Progress League, but members feel 1 that our representative cannot give us any information re the workings of the League, owing to the few meetings, if any, which have been held. At the same time we feel we have no voice in the management, and reoejve no information, only thanks for our contribution. It is felt that the money contributed to the League could be i much better placed. It is suggested instead that we encourage our apprentices af the Technical College." I The president, Mr J. W. Francis, said the matter had been discussed at the last monthly meeting. The secretary read a recommendation then approved. This was to the effect that the Association withdraw from the League after March 31st, 1927, and at the same time state its reasons for doing so. The president said they did not want to do anything hasty, but they should give the matter consideration. He advised them to attend the next monthly meeting, when the matter would com© up for decision.
