POLICE PUZZLED.
.WOMAN'S STRANGE DEATH, (BT CABLE—PKE3S ASSOCIATION—COPTWOET.) (AUSTRALIAN AND I.E. CASLI ASSOCIATION.) (Received January 18th, 8.5 p.m.) LONDON, January 18. The police are making strenuous efforts enquiring into the fate of Mrs Dorothy Rushton, a young woman whose mutilated body was found on tlio railway near Wickford, Essex. She was married on Boxing Day, and she left her husband affectionately at Catford on January 12th, sayinjj she was going to see a sister at Lowisham, but never arrived. The police are puzzled because the woman's handbag is missing. The train arrived at Wickford with all the carriages' doors closed.
