DANCE AT DIXIELAND.

Dixieland was looking its brightest and best last, .night, when a very enjoyable dance, in aid of tho Lady Truby King Fellowship - Fund, was held, and proved most successful.

The ballroom was artistically decorated with bowls and pendent baskets of delphiniums, beautiful, stately foxgloves, and fine antirrhinums. The lounge was gay with choice roses and delphiniums, and in the supper-room tho tables were adorned with bowls of mixed flowers.

Marston's Orchestra supplied spirited music.

Owing to the great generosity of Mr and Mrs Dickson, of Dixielarid, the expenses of the gathering were minimised, and the fund should receive a substantial donation from the committee, which comprised the Hon. Mrs Tahu Rhodes, Mrs G. G. Aitken, Frank Wilding, E. C. Crosse, Ernest Boulton, Misses Mary Enright, Jean McDougall; Messrs C. M. Ollivier, E. G. Norman, F. W. Freeman, Gerald An-, derson, and F. G. Bristed. The' Hon. Mrs Tahu Rhodes wore an effective frock of geranium georgette, with ceinture and hem of crystal and pastel-shaded bead embroidery; Mrs George Aitken, beautiful frock of ivory net, very daintily embroidered in silver and opalescent sequins, and finished with a sash of shaded blue taffeta; Mrs Frank Wilding, becoming frock of cameo pink georgette, embroidered uli over with crystal beads; Mrs ErnestBoulton, handsome gown of fuchsia georgette, witli ceinture of diamente embroidery; Miss Mary Enright, smart frock of black georgette and Spanish lace, mounted on flesh-pink georgette; Miss Jean McDougall, model frock of black georgette, banded with gold lace, and mounted in gold lame.
