General Tang Seng-chi's troops have broken through the Allied Forces on the right bank on the Hunan front. It is now admitted that General Kuo Minchun's collapse in the region of the Nankou Pass is complete, though he held out until virtually blown out by high explosives. The Allied troops have now occupied Kalgan and General Kuo Min-chun is in general retreat though he successfully removed all important military stores. According to semi-official reports General Peng Yu-hsiang has ordered a general retreat, which the majority of General Kuo Min-chun's leaders deemed unwise, but dared not oppose.
