SEASON'S FINALS. The final matches for the senior and junior championships were played at Hagley Park on Saturday. The weather was warm and fine, and the grounds dry and fast. Selwyn defeated Technical by six goals to one, thus winning the senior championship for tho ninth successive season. The junior match between Technical and Trinity was won by the former by two goals to one. after a keen ana exciting gome.

SELWYN v. TECHNICAL. Both clubs fielded their strongest sides, but Selwyn quickly demonstrated their sur-«r-ior combination, and forced Technical back on their circle, where C. Rogers saved with a clever shot. C. Hore opened a strong Selwyn attack by passing to Jlorris, the latter in turn transferring to r. Richmond, who opened Selwyn s scoro witn a beautiful shot, S. Bell and B Morris were prominent in a passing bout which gave w. Bell an opportunity to add another immediately after P. Richmond reached Technical's territory by a splendid solo effort, and passed to W. Richmond, who gave the goalkeeper no chance. Se.lwyn 3, Technical 0. POPE SHIELD. (fkess associatios telzgbaji.) NELSON. August 21. In a ladies' game for the Pope Shield, Nelson (the holders) defeated Golden Bay by 5 goals to nil. The game was not very interesting. Goals were scored by Patterson (3) and Smith (2).
