HAGLEY CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP. The final of the club championship was fought out on Saturday between C. S. Penlin»ton and P. C. Harris over 36 holes. Steady and accurate work rouild the. greens bv Harris enabled him to win on tho 33rd green, 4up and 3to play. Penlington was driving a long ball from the tees all day, whereas Harris was erratic with his driving until the afternoon, when he usually outdrove Penlington, and his approaching was dead on tho pin all day. A very large number of players tooik part in tho Stroke Handicap and the qualifying rounds for the Club Championship and the C'ox Cup at Shirley on Saturday. The scores in the qualifying rounds were much bettor than they were a year ago, when unfavourable weather was experienced. C. A. Seymour was the man of the day, a3 he not only returned tho best -gross score, a- 74, which, in the nor'-west wind and on the tricky greens, was an excellent performance, but ho topped all that by getting a "one'' in the round. He holed his tee shot at the 170-yard seventh hole, "Muggeridge'Sj" This is the third "liole-in-one" secured by him, and the second time ho has holed in "one." at thiß particular hole within a year.
