NEW HOSPITAL SITE?

OPTION ON CASH3IERE LAND. It is possible that the. North Canterbury Hospital Board will shortly acquire a considerable area of land at Cashmere for future requirements'.

At yesterday's meeting of the- Board Mr A. T. Smith reported that the- Selwyn Plantation Board had offered- the Hospital Board 88 acres of land at Cashmere for £I6OO. The site was ideal, and would be very valuable in time to come.

Dr. T. H. Valintine (who wag present" at the meeting): That is.an extraordinary offer, and you should close with those people very quickly. Tou could not possibly go wrong. Mr Smith: I have an option, and. it will hold good for three months. Mr Clyde Carr said that several Board members had seen the site, and agreed with what Mr Smith had said. Dr. Valintine announced his intention of visiting the site in the very near future.
