'',.' The chairman reported on the deputation • to Mr Buddo, and Mr. McWallov, with refer-' ence to the flooding of land in the vicinity of Horse Shoe Lake. Mr Buddo had promised that the matter would be brought before the authorities. Mr Wilson reported that Mr Andrews, whom he had interviewed, stated that the estimates had been cut down to such a considerable extent that, he could'bold out little hope of urgent repair ;to North Parade road. Jitr Liggins reported that he had waited on property owners in Albert street, and_all had agreed to remove gorse from the roadside. Messrs D. Falls an* H. Patterson were asked to inspect the poles on Bank's avenue, and then to act with the Telegraph Department. ' : .. Mr H. Patterson advised the Association. I that the Waimairi .County Council intended to erect sign-posts at an early date, snd that Dallington terrace would receive preference. The following matters were referred to the Waimairi County Council: —(a) Sign-post *equired at Albert .street, off Queensberry street. (b)' Clearing of gorse and broom from -King street and Creswell avenue, (c) Clearing and repairing of Bone's road. .».: ;It was decided'to iwrite to the oit7, Coun | cil asking if the boundary road between Shirley road and Bank's avenue could .-'be i placed under the control of tho Waimairi County Council. A social'eommiMeov consisting of J. Liggins, \li McKechnie,;G. Robinson, K. Todhunter, ; and L.-:B: Bradstock, was set up to arrange'a social evening for Julyloth.
