QUEEN'S THEATRE.
♦ BARTHELMESS IN "SHORE LEAVE.'* BETTY COMPSON IN POWERFUL STORY. A double-star bill is now screening at the Queen's Theatre, where the famous First National player, Hichard Barthelmess, heads tho list in what is recognised as his best picture, "Shore Leave.'" This is a comedydrama, in which the intrigues and adventures of an American "gob" on furlough make extremely amusing and diverting fare. The beautiful Dorothy • Mackail is supporting Barthelmess in this picture, her acting being splendid throughout. Betty Compson, whose popularity has never waned, doee some of the best work of her versatile career in "The Enemy Sex," tho other featured pioturo on the same programme. The story is e, powerful one, affording her excellent opportunities for dramatic acting, but is relieved by bright touches of humour Perov Marmont, Huntly Gordon, and Kathlyn Williams are amongst tho wellknown artists supporting Miss Compson in "The Enemy Sex."
