LATE MR F. N. MEADOWS.

THE FUNERAL. • There was a. representative attendance at the funeral of tie late Mr F. Notley Meadows on Saturday afternoon at. the Wahoatri cemetery. The funeral service was conducted by the Rev. A. H. Norm. The chief .mourners were Mr and Mrs G. E. Curry and Miss Curry, who eared for Mr Meadows i:i his long illness. The bearers were members of the 6t Augustine Lodge, No. 4, Messrs F. J. Tattld. J. A. Staples, T. B. Johns, and D. B. Halliday. . ! Those present included Mr A. S. Drayton, W.M. of the St. Augustine Lodge No. 4, and a number of members of the Lodge; Mr.George Harper ('jiie-time Captain of the College Rofles), and the I 'following ex-members: Mr. J. U. Notris, Hugh Hobbs, and E R. Webb; Captain F. Farthing. A pood muster of members of the Christchurch Liedertafel attended, including Mr CD. Morris (president), Dr. T. L. Crooke. Mr A. L. Cropn, Mr a! Freeman. Mr J. F. Poalce, Mr F. M. Collins, Mr A, Worsley, Mr I?. Viu•cent, Mr W. Cookson, and Mr T. Joll. ■Others present ■• included Mr W. F. Soper, Mr T. Gloudcslov, Mr P. J). Mansell, Mr R. Ashwor'th, Mr J. J. Dougall, and Mr A. H. Noall Amongst the floral tributes were wreaths from the St. Augustine Lodge, and from the Liedertafel. At the end' of the burial service the members'. of the Liedertafel sung the part song, "The Long ])av Closes.''
