FRIENDLY SOCIETIES
A summoned meeting of the Mistletoe Lodge, U.A.0.D., was held in the Ri'dgley Hall on Monday, Arch Druid Bro. Lee presiding over a good attendance of members. Officers elected were: —A.D., "Bro. G. S. E. Donaldson; V.A., Bro. P. McLay; secretary, Bro. F. E. Talbot (re-elected); treasurer, Bro. C. Ives (re-elected); minute secretary, Bro. B. Kinsman; A.D.8., Bros. J. McLay and Cooper (reelected); V.A.8., Bros. A. Cooper ond G. McLay; 1.G., Bro. W. Jones; 0.G., Bro. J. K. Lethaby; ; The officers were 'installed by tho D.P. BrO. J. McLay. The quarterly meetlbg of the Star of Woolston Tent, Independent Order of 'Kechabites, was held in the Druids' Hall, Woolston, on Monday evening. C.R. Bro. Forsey presided. C.R. Bro. Forsey gave a brief report on the Provincial Council busfn','], also on the juvenile business. Officers Vvi elected for tho coming half year. The Pioneer Lodge, U.A.0.D., held s'ls half-yearly faceting oh Monday evening, A.D. Bro. Beckett presiding. G.V.P. Bro. Bailey and D.P. Bro. McLay were also present: The sum of £l9' Was passed for sick pay. The auditors, P.D.P. Bro. C. I. Baitles and P.D.I'. Bro. L. A. Morrison reported that the lodge had l' n d a very successful half-year, and they congratulated the financial officers on their tfbrk. Tho balance-sheet shbwed. the total funds to be 19733 6s 3d, the balance in the various accounts, being B. and F. £9333 10s sd, incidental £337 18s 6d, benevolent £54 3s lOd, and social fund £l7 12s 7d. The interest for tho half-year totalled £287 17s 6d, and the sick pay £233 15s. The membership was 267. Officers. elected Were: — J.P.A., Bro. Beckett; A.D., Bro. Goode; V.A., Brd. Fisher; secretary, Bro. Neate; treasurer, Bro. Desmond; M.S., Bro. Smith; A.D.B.'s, Bros. Johnson and Watson; V.A D.B.'s, Bros. Moss and Guthfie; 1.G., Bro. Morris; 0.G., Bro. Miles; auditors, Bros. Morrison ond Baincs. A general discussion took place regarding tho special benefit fund of tho Grand Lodge, and a small committee was set up to go into the matter and report in a month's time.
