LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL IN SOUTH-WEST AFRICAibs CABLE—PEESS ASSOCIATION—COKBIOHT I lAUBTBALIAS AND S.Z CABLE ASSOCIATION ) CAPE TOWN, June 16. The first session of the first Legislative Assembly of South-West Africa was opened by Mr Wertie, the new Administrator, with impressive ceremony. The address was delivered in Afrikaan, and was translated into English and German. Colonel Curtis, the only English member, was eleoted chairman.
