At the Court to-day, two young men, Harold Terry, appd 21, and David Mc Comb, aged 20, pleaded guilty to wrongfully converting motor-cars to their own use. They made a practice of going to private garages at night, taking out ears, and running them about the country. They were caught in the act by ono owner. The Magistrate sentenced each to seven hard labour on each of three charges, the sentences to be cumulative. He peremptorily refused a request for the suppression of the names.
