DELIGHTFUL COMEDY.

»■■■ » "WHAT HAPPENED TO JONES." LIBERTY THEATRE, MONDAY. It was very fanny, what happened to Joues. In fact, it wa3 so funny that even hi 3 wife saw the joke and laughed with all her friends. Picture patrons- are going to laugh, too, rest week when they Beo tho most uproarious coniedy-farco seen for years, "What Happened to. Jones," which, with Reginald Denny, will be shown at the Liberty Theatre next week. A feature of Denny pictures is the astonishing energy of that young man, an energy- that imperiously demands an outlet, even at- the expense of the broken ribs of patrons of tho theatre where ho is to be Been, and in his latest comedy he in nowise dcaista from his pre- • •nova films, and in "What Happened to Jones" tho comedy ia of that breathless, get-there-at-any-cost speed that ia his ownparticular brand. For originality of theme this etory certainly would be difficult to beat, and ft undoubtedly creates a record for laughter, in that it is ushered in with a chuckle and mafcea its final bow' to tho accompaniment of unashamed roars. It is the kind of picture it does one good to see, for it cannot be called sensible, or oven feasible, -comedy. The- antics of the star I and tho amazing imbroglio of which he is the unhappy centre are altogether too farcically absurd to- merit one'e serious' attention. Yet poor Jones commands sympathy. From the time he awakes on • his wedding, morn to the moment he finds himself freefrom clinging young women and accusing men, he has the unstinted sympathy of his audience, even though, in the midjt of their unseemly hilarity, those same people scarcely know they are pitying tho poor fellow. Eegiuaid Denny again has the capable support of Marian Nixon in this comedy, and between them they afford as boisterous an evening as any team of ;comeduwis lias yet succeeded in doing. The Tjox plans for the season are now on view at The Bristol .Piano Ck>., where .seats may bo reserved.
