Harbour Light Theatre. "Why Women Love." a First National drama of the sea, and starring Blanche Sweet, will be screened at the Harbour Light Theatre this afternoon and evening, together with a scenic, graphic, and comedy. An additional attraction at the evening session will be the Bppearance of Mr Arthur McDonald, baritone. Football. The follownig will represent the Rapaki Football Club in to-day's match:—C. Gilmore, J. Williams, J. Evans, F. Nixon, L. Ruka, D. Collins, J. Scott, T. McGill, O. Reid, E. Veal, H. Smith, L. Watson, ,T. Torrens, J. Lurch; emergencies, Grennell, B. Stevens, J. Garner. Children's Mission. A Ohildren'3 Mission will be conducted at Holy Trinity Church next week by the Rev. T. Haslam. The Mipsion commences on Monday with a service at 6.30 p.m., and services will also be held on Tuesday and Wednesday. Coloured moving pictures of Bible scenes and characters will be shown. A service for adults will be held the same evening at 8 p.m. The English Futurists. There was a full house at the Harbour Light Theatre last evening, when the English Futurists' Cabaret Company presented another of their bright programmes. As on the previous occasion when the company appeared at Lyttelton, they were accorded a most enthusiastic reception. The comedy work, in the hands of D. W. Desmond and Cyril Northcote, was irresistible, and the singing, dancing, playlets, and song scenas were thoroughly enjoyable, while the brilliant mounting and lighting of the production left nothing to bo desired. Soamon's Institute. A very enjoyable concert, arranged by the Christchurch Ladies' Guild, was given in the Seamen's Institute on Thursday evening. Items wera contributed as follows:—Songs, Misses Ivy Webb, Dalley, W. Cordner; vocal ducts, Misses Dalley and Langridge; dances and recitations, Miss Dorothy Dean, who was warmly applauded; choruses, Miss D. Webb, who also acted as accompanist. The superintendent voicpd -the thanks of all present for the enjoyable time spent. Nearly 100 men from the ships were present. Supper was afterwards served. Port Levy Football. Tho annual football match. Married v. Single, was played at Port Levy on Thursday, and after a strenuous game resulted in a win for the Married team by 14 to 8. Tries were scored for the Married by M. Fleming (2). K. Flutey (1). A. Pope kicked a penalty goal, and I. Kildare converted one try. For the single men, A. Manning scored one try, unconverted. There was a large attendance of spectators. Afternoon tea wtis supplied by the ladies. On behalf of the players, H. Manawntu, captain of the winners, thanked the ladies for tho able assistance in supplying afternoon tea, responded to by Mrs Tainui and company with a Maori haka. . A return match was talked of, to be played in the near future.
