SEVERAL NEW DEMANDS. (special to "the irsss.") DUNEDIN, April 30. At a meeting of the Temperance Keform Council, it was decided to recommend the New Zealand AHianco that an amendment of the Licensing Act be demanded to provide:— (a) That no alcoholic liquors shall be supplied to hotel guests, or otherwise, during hours when tlio sale of liquor is prohibited to tho ' general public. (b) That the sale of alcoholic liquors shall be prohibited in every district on all holidays and half holidays. (c) That no licensed premises shall be permitted to have more than one bar. (d) That protection from alcoholic liquors be afforded to natives of the King Country, in accordance with the pact made on the opening of tho territory.
