David Lynch, a selector near Taree, had been missing for some days, and when a,policeman and a doctor broke inttf the house • they were ■ savagely attacked by a large kangaroo dog. ;They ..saw- Lynch's body lying on the 1 floor with the head blown off and the gun alongside. They had to shoot'the dog before they could gain an entrance. Then they discovered that' a large portion of the body had been sonsumed by the dog' during the five days it had •teen locked in the room since Lyrtch's •death. ... •
