RUGBY. SECONDARY SCHOOLS. COMPETITION CONTINUED. The Christohurch secondary schools' Rugby football competition was continued yesterday, when the second round was played in the weight limit grades, whilst the' first round was played in the fourih grade. Some of the matches were very evenly contested, and altogether the standard of play was high. FOURTH GRADE.

The game between Technical College A and Bovs' High School B was played at Old Boys' ground, North Park, and resulted in a win for Technical College by '27 to nil. Mr M. Anstiss was referee. The match between Christ s College B and Boys' High School A was played at the College cricket (fronnd, and resulted in a win for Boys' High School by 17 to nil. HEAVY-WEIGHT GRADK. Plating at the United ground, North Park, Bov*' High School B beat Technical College B by 8 to 3. Mr L. B. Lust night'« meeting of the executive of the Canterbury Football Association discussed somo trouble which occurred on the field during an Association game last Saturday, and as a. result two players wero penalised. The referee, Mr H. Smyth, reported that ho ordered F. Trotter (Sunnysidc) off the field and a'so cautioned R. Courtney (Villa) for ungentleraanly oonduct during tho course of tho match, Villa, v. Sunnyside, at Sunnyside on April 24th, He also warned both players to bo present at tho executive nicotine held last night. Trotter attended the meeting and answered a number of questions, stating tlint Courtney had storied the trouble. Ho hart said that Trotter's face "would be a good thing for a cartoonist." Ho lost his head and struck Courtney. Courtr.oy had dropkicked tho ball into his back.
