CULVERDEN GUN CLUB.
OPENING SHOOT. On Saturday afternoon the Culverdon Club held its opening shoot. In the first match of 10 birds there were nine competitors, first prize being a trophy valued at £1 Is, given by Mr W. Davison. Tho scores were as follows: — J. Rao .. .. 15yds 0211021111 8 A. Kingsbury .. 11yds ■ 0001220220 5 D. Davison ~ 14yds 1012210111 8 R. Mcßae .. 13yds 1200022100 5 L. Dalzell .. llyds 0022122200 6 W. Davison .. llyds 1102210000 5 M. Anderson .. llyds 0010011012 5 Mrs M. Bethell .. llyds 0200000210 3 M. Bethell .. llyds 0011000001 3 J. Rae and D. Davison tied with 8 birds each. In the Bhoot-ofi D. Davison won on the fourth round, taking the trophy and first money, leaving J. Rae second and L. Dalzell third. The next match was a six-bird sweep, and ten competed. R. Mcßae shot all hie birds and took first money. ' J. Rae, A. Kingsbury, D. Davison, L. Daliell, and F. Wilkie shot five birds and shot off for second and third places, A. Kingsbury beating 3. Rae on the fourth round. At the closing of the day Mrs M. Bethell congratulated the shooters and presented the trophy to the winner (D. Davison). The president (Mr Jamos Rae) replied on behalf oF the club.
