A verdict oT "Death by misadventure" was recorded at a St. Panci'as inquest on Dr. Charlotte Iris Fox (35), a pathologist at the Royal Free Hospital, Gray's Inn Road, London, whose death followed the poisoning of a finger during a post-mortem examination. Dr. Thurlow Fortescue Fox, of Beaconsfiejd (Bucks), said Dr. Iris Fox was his sister, and was single. On the evening of December 24th she told him she had don« a post-mortem examination lather rapidly. Next day she had her finger in a bandage, and, in answer to his enquiry, said, "Oh, I pricked my finger yesterday." The following day she was .removed to hospital. Mr R. R. Garrett, secretary of the hospital, said the hospital authorities had the deepest feelings of sympathy' with the relatives, and felt the'loss.very grentlv indeed "of a valued servant who had practically given her life in the services of the hospital' and the" publie."
