Deer stalking in the Hanmw district makes an interesting front page subject. There are two very fine doublepage panoramas, one. of the Exhibition—without doubt the finest picture of- the Exhibition yet published—and the other, a comprehensive view of Lyall Bay, Wellington. Recent volcanic activities at White Island, Bay of Plenty, and the strange fish caught off the island, are shown in a page of interesting pictures. Other tubjecta dealt with include the opening of the Rugbv season at Qhrwtchurch on Saturday, the installation of the Bishop of Ohristohurch a« Warden of Christ's College, thrilling jumping pictures from the Sydney Royal Show, the A.JC. Races at Randwick, Sydney, New Zealand tennis representatives in Sydney, snapshots from the Welling' ton Racing Club's Autunin Meeting at Trentham, and the big Boy Scout rally at Basin Reserve, Wellington. ~
