STRAND THEATRE.
Commencing to-day at the Strand Theatre will be seen Jack Hoxie in "The Red Rider, which tells of the reforms worked among the T „. iin , bv a mysterious "white Indian,' whose rea? name i "White, Elk". It is in this role that Hoxie appears, and.it is stated that ft is one of the most impressive screen works hat this impersonator of Western characters niV ever undertaken. The picture will be Remarkable for the fact that it is the first Ume that an attempt has been made to pace on the screen the Indian's side of the story of the conflict between red and white races in Al F B rom" the stage play by Elmer L. Rice, "It is the Law," is the second attraction. Released by Fox, this feature is a drama based on one x>t those queer quirks of the law that ordains that a man cannot he tried for the same crime twice. Arthur Honl is the star. A fast-movinir chapter play, "The Scarlet Streak," will also he screened, and a comedy and a'topical item will round off the programme. _______^___
