EAST CHRISTCHURCH DISTRICT SCHOOL.
. The monthly meeting of the East Cl'.iistchurch District School Committee was attended by Messrs W. O. Harvey (in the chair), A. T. Stokes, Cr. L. Bull, H. Eosindale, Jas. Maddren, S. J. Green, C. W. Powell, and Dr. Borrie. The resignation of Mr K. T. Cowper was received with regret. The headmaster reported that the attendance at the school for the past month had been fairly good, the average being 755 oiit of a roll number of 818. . Over 10 pupils had visited • the Dunedin Exhibition tinder the care of members of the staff, and the trip had been a great success. The dental nunc reported* on work completed during the month, showing that there had been 355 permanent and temporary fillings, ana 301 extractions and minor operation*.
