W.E.A. ACTIVITIES.
International and Pacific problems will be dealt with. in a series of three iectures to be given by Mr T. G. Airey, M.A., ex-Khodes Scholar, under the auspices of the'W.E.A., in the Association's rooms, at, the Trades Hall. The first of the' series is to be given to-morrow evening, and is entitled "The Pacific Becoming the Focus of the "World Problems" and special reference will be made to the '■ materialist dominance of • the West in modern times, to the awakening of the East, and to some facts relating to .the racial problem. The New Brighton W.E.A, students met in the Union street schoolroom on Mondny evening. Mr G. Manning, secretary of the .W.K.A., explained that the recently-appointed permanent tutor, Mr 'J. Johnson. M.A., would take the class 'during the 'coroins season. It was decided to ask Mr Johnson to take as his subject for the New Brighton class this year, "Psychology and Everyday •Life." - - In response to an invitation from the Southbridge Burgesses' Association, Mr Manning will address a public meeting, organised by the Association, with the view of ascertaining what support would be given to a W.E.A. class in Southbridge.
