The decision of the British Missionary Societies working in China to relinquish their extra territorial privileges iu that country is in true accord with the spirit that has animated Christian missions in China. It will be surprising if such a gesture of goodwill does not evoke corresponding sentiment in the minds of the thoughtful Chinese, to whom the missionaries have been presenting the Christian way of life as the fullest and only completely satisfying Faith for mankind.
