MISSING ADMIRALTY DOCUMENTS. A CURIOUS SEQUEL, (BT CABLE—PH7.63 ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT.) (AUSTRALIA* AXD y.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION.) (Received March 7th, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, March 6. A curious sequel to the disappearance of the Admiralty documents is reported from Southport. A man about 35 years of age, of smart appearance, engaged a room in an hotel. He said he was opening a Consulate and wished to engage girl typists. He interviewed several, and selected two, whom he asked to deposit £25. They declined and the stranger thereafter departed, leaving his luggage, in which the police, on opening, found papers which the "Daily Express" states were identified as those stolen from the Admiralty on February Bth. A Southport engineer says the stranger attempted to sell him a drawing relating to a crankless engine adaptable for motor-cars. Meantime, the Admiralty says the documents reported lost yesterday morning were found where a clerk had placed them in safe-keeping. [A previous message stated that Scotland Yard was investigating the disappearance of a number of important documents from the Admiralty.]
