THE EDEN SEAT.
CANDIDATES OFFERING. (special to "the prms.") AUCKLAND, March 7. Mr J. Rea, who. has contested the Franklin seat three times as a Liberal, has offered his services to the electors of Eden. Ho expresses his admiration for Mr Coates, but says he cannot stand as a pledged supporter of the Reform Party. He is willing to be nominated if reasonable prospects of support are forthcoming. Mr C. R. W. Loiigdill, of Helensville, who makes a similar offer, states he is prepared to stand 011 similar terms as an Independent-Liberal, The Labour Party hopes to hold its selection ballot next Tuesday if arrangements can be made.
