"SALLY OF THE SAWDUST."
GRAND THEATRE ON MONDAY. In view of the remarkab'e success of "Silly of the Sawdust," it his been decided to transfer it to the Grand Theatre for the pc-at week, so that picture-goors may have an opportunity of seeing this fascinating story. Although there is the irresistible'' Atmosphere of the circus about it, the ring •a never overdone, and we are enabled to fellow the vicissitudes of Sally and Pop in all their glory and sadness It has that skilful blending of comedy and something more serious that is so populaj with the public, and which only Griffith can give, and when we have the compelling artistry of Carol Dempster 'mingled wilh the famous burlesque of W. C. Fields, brilliant acting can be guaranteed by the partnership. It is a most cleverly worked-out story, tracing the lives of these two from circus poverty to rightful riches, and there, is such an air of realism arSund the play that at the final fade-out the awakened spectator is somewhat surprised to find himself in a prosaic theatre, and not a glamorous tent or lordly dwelling. The Grand Quality Orchestra, tinder the supervision of Mr Howard Moody, plays ' a specially selected programme of orchestral music.
