BRITAIN'S BUDGET.
FORECAST BY CHANCELLOR. ' (BY CABIiS—PBKSS ASSOCIATION—COFIIMQHT.) (BBOTEft'S TBLEOBAIfS.i LONDON, March 2. An anticipation of tho Budget was given by Mr Churchill, in a speech at Belfast. He stated that in his opinion the anticipated surplus of a little over £1,000,000 would bo realised, though as a result of the coal subsidy, the balance would emerge as a net deficit of £17,000,000 to £18,000,000 which must be met by temporary borrowing. Mr Churchill referred to the forthcoming economy plans, and said that providing no great industrial upheaval occurred, they should be able to get through 1926 creditably without the adoption of any tinsound financial expedient, or the imposition of taxation which would cripple a trado revival.
