Addressing the Foreign Affairs Commission iu the Chambor of Deputies, M. Briand bitterly attacked i the foreign Press for assailing tho admittance of Poland to the League of Nations' Council. Even boforo Locarno, declared M. Briand, the question of increasing the number of permanent seats cropped up, and interested nations were only profiting by Germany's entry to reopen the question, the solution of which would not be attained by scattering poison. M. Briand significantly added that tho League's Foreign Relations Comniitteo was the best judge of the matter, and could deal with it independently.
