The Doneastcr Race Committee, in their annual statement of accounts, represent the capital value of the race stands, land, loose-boxes, etc, at £188,433. During 1924-5 over £4OOO was expended on additional loose-boxes and new terraces to the grandstand, the total expenditure during tho vear being £77,907. The total profits of tho 192-1 meetings wcro £15,000, of -which £SOOO ■was set aside as interest on capital value of the stands, and £IO,OOO used in the reduction of the rates.
