MONTHLY MEETING. Tho usual monthly meeting of tie Diocesan Council of the C.E.M.S. was lield on Mondav last, Mr C. H. Clibborn presiding. The annual Dominion conference of the Society is to be held in Christchurch this year, on May ifa, sth, and 6th, and the chief business of the evening was the consideration of the programme. - A letter was received from the'headquarters in Wellington, containing a draft programme, and the local council suggested a few additions. It was decided that the headquarters of the conference be at St John's, lifitimer square, and a larger hall be Jiiied for the evening sessions. A Hospitality Committer vraa set np to arrange for the delegates . coming from the otli6r parts of the Dominion. Lists of speakers and • subjects - were sent to headquarters for approval.
