TRAMWAY AWARD
CONCILIATION SITTING. NO SETTLEMENT. Claims for a now tramway employees' award were by the Conciliation Council yesterday. The Government Commissioner, Mr W\ H- Hagger, presided. The- assessors were:— Board, the Hon. J. Barr, M.L.C., atttl Messrs W. J. Walter and D- Syk*»; employees, Messrs JEL smow, E. steCalluni, and E. Brown. The Hon. J. Barr said that a private conference of the Board had agreed to accept the wages provided for ur the Dominion award, with the proviso that, where an employee was getting mora than the wage provided in the thumbs award, no alteration was to be Mr Snow Baid that certain Camtehurch workers were not provided for in the Dunedin awanj. _ % i .
