DROWNED AFTER DANCE.
CABLE STEAMER'S ENGINEER. (PRBSS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) AUCKLAND, February 15. Gordon Louis Ansenne, aged thiityfcrur, second engineer on the cable steamer Iris, was drowned at Waiwera on Sunday. He was ou a cruise in a launch with three other men.. He attended a dance, and left about 12.30 o'clock to board the launch. Ansenne went down the steps to untie the painter, and slipped and-fell into the water, probably striking his head on the steps. When ho was recovered life was extinct. . .
