ENGLISH PARK STADIUM.

MOTOR-PACED RACE TO-NIGHT. "Ia it possible for Alackie to maintain his unbeaten record as a motor-paco follower?" This is a frequent question asked by followers of the sport 'of cycling. The match will be decided at English Park Stadium to-night. Willio "Mackio w ill find "Jumbo" Wells a worthy opponent, whose experience in cycle lacing has been gained whilst competing against the best 'iders in the world. The match race to be held tonight will bo decided over three _ distances, two and three miles, and a deciding heat of two miles. With all his experience, it is anticipated that Wells will be lully extended by his young and formidable rival. Pieeent events held at the Stadium have shown a marvellous improvement in the ,'riding o£ several well-known riders. The result of the scratch race is no longer a foregone conclusion, and anyone of six riders are likely to turn the tables. .Mick Fitzgerald, "Jumbo" Wells, Jack Henderson, Frank Carey, and J. HcGirr have each developed a sprint which is likely to cause a surprise at any time. The supporting programme consists of a one mile scratch race, two-lap open handicap, and several other litirdieap cycling races. The cash runners will take part in a 220 yards run, the "star" sprinter, Don McLennan, being on scratch. M. A. McDonald, S. Symister, and R. Thomson will also compete. Ihe whippets will also compete over 120 yards and 100 yards hurdle handicap. The cycling track has been whitened, and this, combined with the powerful electric lights, shorild show the racing to advantage. "Withers's Jazz Band has again been engaged and will .enliven the evening with selections. At'the conclusion of the, sports there will be half an liour of jazzing on the green. The first, race will start at 8 o'clock.
