GERMAN DISARMAMENT. AMBASSADORS CONFER. (AUSTBALIAX *SD 5.1. CAULS ASSOCIATION.) PARIS, January 2S. Sir Austen Chamberlain and M. Briand are conferring on the delicato situation which is the outcome of alleged German infringements of the Locarno disarmament understanding relating to armed frontier police. Germany says that demobilisation has been delayed pending the. decisions of the Ambassadors' Conference. EVACUATION OF COLOGNE. (renter's telegrams.) (Received January SPtli, 7.10 p.m.) PARIS, January 2S. The Conference of Ambassadors has notified the German Ambassador that the Allied evacuation of the Cologne zone will bo completed at midnight on January 31st. , Sir Austen Chamberlain and M. Briand, at the Quai d'Orsay, discussed tlio whole range of subjects of AngloFrench interest, except the respective debts, but no decisions were, taken. Subsequently M. Briand, when interviewed, said that no obstacles wero encountered, and everything could easily bo settled. The problem of the Allied troops in tlio Rhineland would bo settled in the spirit of the Locarno Pact later.
