NORTH BEACH.
FORESHORE IMPROVEMENT SOCIETY. A meeting of the executive and the committee which arranged past toeials was held in the Peace Memorial Hall on Wednesday evening. The chairman (Mr E. A. M. Leaver) explained that the main object of the meeting was to consider a proposal to provide part of the cost of a concrete seawall in front of the Peace Memorial Building. After some discussion tho following resolution, moved by Mr D. C. Rowlands, and seconded by Mr W. E:- Levcrett, was carried unanimously: "That the Society offer to provide £SO towards the cost of a sea-wall in front of the Memorial Building, if the New Brighton Borough Council will undertake to link up the wall between the Memorial Hall and the Surf Club pavilion." It was decided to erect a rail and wire fence on the west side of the Memorial Hall, and Messrs Barker, Brand, Rowland, Hutton, and Wilson undertook to do the work on Saturday next. A hearty vote of thanks was passed to Mr W. McDonald for painting and decorating the interior of the Hall. The following wa6 elected a Social Committee: —Messrs A. E. Hutton, A. C. Rowlands, S. Hamilton. E. H. Barker, W. McDonald, Mesdames Hutton, Rowland, Mumford, Barker,' Leaver, and Miss Leaver. A Hall Committee was appointed, consisting of Messrs E. H. Barker. A. Brand. A. E. Hutton, A. C. Rowlands, S. Hamilton, W. McDonald.
