"A CURSE."

MAGISTRATE ON REVOLVERS. (PEESS ASSOCIATION TELEGKAM.) AUCKLAND, January 28. "Revolvers are a curse, and it is a serious matter to carry them about," said Mr J. W. Poynton, S.M., at the Police Court this morning, when George Joseph Marshall, who was recently sentenced to five years' imprisonment for attempting to rob the Newmarket branch of the Auckland Savings Bank appeared on a charge of carrying a revolver without a license. "In order to mark the seriousness of the thing," said the Magistrate, "I will sentence Marshall to three months imprisonment. He is already serving a long sentence, so the three months wiH be concurrent."
