FLOWER SHOW.
GOOD DISPLAY AT GERALDINE. The Summer Show of' tho Gcraldino Horticultural Society took place in the Drill Hall, Geraldine, yesterday. Tho judges woro as follows:—Flowers a"nd fruit, Messrs Gracio and Hammond; vegetables, Mr Hammond (Tomuka);, cookery,: Mrs A. ll.' Budd (Ternuka); homo industries, Mrs Hislop and Miss McLean, It had been'feared that this year's show would reveal a falling-off in quality owing to seasonal conditions, but although in somo classes exhibits we're less Humorous than usual, the quality generally was surprisingly*-good.--- -There- were some very good roses, and tho cut flowers generally were cxcellont. Tho pot plant 3 werb good, and tho fruit was fair, while some of tho vogotablos wero very good. Tho cookery exhibits were of excellent quality.
